Yvetot Bocage The Chateau at Yvetot Bocace is famous for the signing of the surrender of the German forces here on the 26th of June by General von Schlieben after the fall of Cherbourg. One week earlier on the 17th of June the Chaplain o0f the 315th Infantry Regiment, 1st Lt Dominic Ternan was giving the last rites to a fallen soldier when he was killed by a German sniper. |
