Ste Mere Eglise

The museum tells the story of the American parachute landings early on the morning of D-day, and is interestingly built on the house that was destroyed by fire early on the morning of D-day. The museum house many important relics of the liberation, including a DC3 transport aircraft used on D-day. In another hall is a WACO glider that was used to transport the glider troops into Normandy later on morning of 6th June.

In the grounds there is a Sherman tank and several other historic vehicles and guns. They have just acquired a second C47 and have plans to extend the Museum
