Orglandes

One of the final commemorations of the 60th anniversary year was the event at the German cemetery at Orglandes. The cemetery is the final resting place for over 11,000 German servicemen.
Over fifty local French communities were represented by ex servicemen, each with their own village banner.
The German Ambassador was represented by Colonel Keiewetter, and he and local French dignitaries laid wreaths.
The band and ex servicemen paraded to the village hall where we drank a toast to the honour of the fallen of both sides.
