Ste Mere Eglise

The museum at Ste Mere Eglise was turned into an American Camp for the weekend and many demonstrations of the Airborne troops were given by re-enactors. The town itself was the focus of many celebrations. There was a dance held in the town square and a constant parade of vehicles of the period. It seemed strange to sit with a drink in the evening with patrols of re-enactors passing by, when the current American and German troops enjoyed a drink in the cafe.
