La Fiere

The bridge at La Fiere for many years has been the scene of a mass parachute drop by the 82nd PIR. Over the years other nations have also taken part, French, British, Belgium and German. This year 300 paratroopers dropped ion fine weather and in front of a good crowd, and of course veterans of the 82nd and 101st. The five C130's made a total of five passes dropping their parachutists, before making a low pass on their way back to Cherbourg.
