Montgomery General Montgomery has not got the number of monuments in Normandy as General Patton, but at least he has a village named after him. After the war the small village of Colleville added "Montgomery" to their name. His statue stands in a small park on the main road that runs east west along Sword Beach. A second statue was cast from the mould and stands in the park in Portsmouth opposite the D-day museum. |
