La Cambe German Cemetery

La Cambe is the largest military cemetery here in Normandy and is the final resting place of over 21,00 German's. On Friday the 5th an unknown solder possibly from the 352 Division was buried with full military honours. Serving soldiers from America, Britain, Holland, Belgium, Norway, France, and of course Germany we present. A nice touch was the German graves commission gave out packets of cornflower seeds to each person to plant for peace. Many Allied veterans laid wreaths here as well as the German government, and other nations represented here.
