D-day 2009

The main event this year was a last minute celebration at the American Cemetery which included the "Great and Good" and to a certain extent eclipsed the Veterans, many who were here for the second and last time.

Because of the restrictions I decided to concentrate on the smaller events and a selection are on the pages below.

It was a fantastic few days with a party atmosphere, lots of Veterans and Re-enactors and many hundreds of military vehicles. We also had several parachute drops, some from a C47. Also present were serving troops from many nations.
